Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select „Remember Me“, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Information We Automatically Collect

Even though we don’t require sign-ups or subscriptions, our hosting provider Hostinger and WordPress framework collect certain technical and behavioral data to keep the Site running smoothly and to improve your experience. This includes server and access logs (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, date/time stamps, and click-stream data) and cookies set by WordPress core for session management and user preferences. Third-party plugins (MonsterInsights for Google Analytics, Pctags and Simple Pin It Button for Pinterest, and Akismet Anti-Spam) also set cookies to track aggregate traffic, Pinterest activity, and detect comment spam. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may reduce Site functionality.

How We Use Your Data – Site Security & Performance

We use Akismet to prevent spam and malicious activity and monitor uptime and performance.

Analytics & Improvements: Google Analytics (via MonsterInsights) helps us understand which articles and Lama’s mindset tips resonate most, so we can optimize content.

Comment Moderation: If you comment, we store your name, comment text, email address (required by WordPress), and IP address until you request deletion. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to delete any comments that are unfriendly, offensive, inappropriate, or otherwise violate our site guidelines.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your Rights & Choices Under the EU GDPR

You may access, update, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and request data portability. Under California’s CCPA/CPRA, you may know what personal data we collect, use, share, or sell; request deletion; opt out of data “sales” (not currently applicable); and receive equal service even if you exercise these rights. To exercise any rights, email contact@selfdevelopmentwithlama.com
with “Data Request” in the subject line. We will respond within the legally required timeframe.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Affiliate Links & Disclosure

Some posts contain Amazon Associates links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate programs operate independently; we receive only anonymized, aggregated tracking data, not your personal purchase information.

Third-Party Services & Data Transfers

Our Site is hosted by Hostinger on secure servers located in Arizona, USA. Data transferred from the EU (Austria) to the USA is protected under standard contractual safeguards. We use the following third-party services that may process data on your behalf: – Google Analytics (via MonsterInsights) – Amazon Associates (affiliate tracking) – WPForms Lite (forms plugin, no active forms yet) – Pctags & Simple Pin It Button (Pinterest integration) – Akismet Anti-Spam. Please review each provider’s privacy policy for details on their data practices.

No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Security Measures

We employ industry-standard measures such as SSL encryption, firewalls, and restricted access controls to protect your data. However, no internet transmission is entirely secure—use the Site at your own risk.
